The Best and Worst Strip Clubs in America: Zebra’s Show Bar
This is the third blog in my series of the Best and Worst Strip Clubs in America. This time I decided to review one of the worst clubs I have ever been to. If you are ever in El Paso, TX and looking for a good time, don’t waste your money at Zebra’s Show Bar. Let me set the scene for this place: It’s on the way outskirts of town, right off the interstate…in a fucking warehouse.
Club layout and lighting
Umm, it’s a warehouse. They have some table and chairs, a stage that is way too high and one pole. The atmosphere of this place is more meat packing plant than cool strip club.
Hotness and attitude of dancers
The one time I went to Zebra’s, I was a little creeped out by the place but pleasantly surprised by the both the hotness and great attitude of the dancers. The problem was there was about 30 patrons and only three dancers. I was there on a Saturday night at 11 p.m., which is prime time for strip club activity. A 10:1 ratio of guys to dancers is unacceptable; I don’t care how hot the girls are. I did get a fairly decent lap dance from a pretty hot stripper, but the downside was that there were not a lot of private areas of the club and I felt like I was part of the stage show.
Price of overpriced drinks and dances
On the plus side, this place is dirt cheap. Dances are only $10 and drinks are no more expensive than in a regular bar. We all know that in most strip clubs, you are almost always going to pay at least 30% more for a beer because of all the free titties that come with your drink order. It’s nice to go to a club where you are not getting nailed with this titty tax, but I would rather pay a 50% titty tax and have a throng of hot girls and a nice VIP room.
Privateness of the VIP room
Again, this place is a warehouse. The VIP room is not a room, but another open area that is designated for VIP dances. I have no idea how much a VIP dance costs because there was no way I was going to pay extra just to sit in a different part of the warehouse.
The “X” factor
There isn’t one. This club is a disappointment from top to bottom. I guess you could say that being on the outskirts of town right off the interstate makes the club’s location an X Factor, but that’s a real stretch.
In the hour and a half (that’s all I could stand) I spend in the club, I bet I saw less than five stage dances from the three dancers. At times, it seemed as if I was at a regular bar in which every so often, a girl would decide to get up on stage and take her top off. I’ve been to fraternity parties that had more action than this place. If you’re looking for a good club in El Paso this ain’t it. Don’t waste your time or money at Zebra’s.
