Dream Fight Through the Prediction Machine

I’ve realized something with two upcoming UFC events. UFC Fight Night Live on Sunday, August 1st and UFC 117 on Saturday, August 7th. Both fights already have their own share of drama.

The Fight Night Live event puts Vladimir Matyushenko, a proven MMA and UFC veteran against a lightning quick and versatile Jon “Bones” Jones (did you hear what Jones did to Brandon Vera’s face?). Even though Matyushenko clearly has the age and experience over Jones, it is Jones who is favored to win. Less than a week later, fireworks are sure to fly in the UFC 117 main event with Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen. Sonnen has been talking so much shit about Silva lately, that Orbit gum won’t be able to clean that mouth-off fast enough.

The Fedor Debate

FedorUnless you’ve been living on the moon for the last couple of weeks, you may have noticed that the drama surrounding Fedor Emelianenko’s validity as a worthy fighter has been one of the hottest topics on MMA forums. Major publications like ESPN.com, MMA Weekly and Sherdog have considered Fedor “The Best Heavyweight Fighter in the World” for several years in a row now. Countless numbers of die-hard Fedor fans (especially you guys on the Heavy Hands facebook site) point out his epic battles, numerous victories and championship titles held, as proof that he is the real deal.

However, there are some that disagree. The Fedor bashers (again, especially you guys on the Heavy Hands facebook site) make claims that he’s all hype now and that his fans have placed him on a pedestal, or he hasn’t fought anyone worthy recently. Adding sugar to the hater-ade was not only his surprising loss to Fabricio Werdum in less than 90 seconds, but also Dana White’s vicious comments claiming that Fedor is “a fake, a phony and a farce” after the loss.

I want to throw it all on the table, so…Let the debate begin!

For the Fedor fans:

How can you deny the fact that the man has a 31-2 record? I wonder what comes with a record like that? Maybe several different titles? Or I guess having won the RINGS World Heavyweight Class and the King of Kings Championships, the Pride Fighting Championships, World Heavyweight and Heavyweight Grand Prix Championships, and the World Alliance of Mixed Martial Arts Heavyweight Championship means absolutely nothing.

Best and Worst Strip Club Series:Jaguars Gold Club

Jaguars Gold Club is the premier strip club in El Paso. You will not find hotter strippers, a better atmosphere or a better club to end your night in all of West Texas.

Club layout and lighting

Jaguars calls itself the only “Vegas Style” club in El Paso. While I have not been to all the clubs in El Paso (yet), I can tell you there is a lot of truth in their marketing campaign. There is a large main stage at the back of the club with a huge mirror that lines almost the entire back wall. There are also two smaller stages located near the middle to the left and right sides of the club. No matter what time you hit up Jaguars, you will find hot strippers on all three stages. The lighting is perfect. There is plenty of light on the stages, but it’s dark enough in several areas of the club so you can get a semi-private dance without having to shell out the extra money for the VIP room.
